FAQ

Q: How do the cups get recycled?
A: Simply place the cups in any mixed recycling bin (high street or domestic) and they’ll be sorted and recycled into something new. In a controlled environment such as a corporate campus, stadium or city scheme the cups can be collected and washed or recycled back into cups (‘closed loop’).

Q: How many times can the cups be reused?
A: The cups will be ‘as new’ after hundreds of dishwashing cycles.

Q: Is plastic really a better environmental option over paper cups?
A: Whilst most consumers perceive that paper is ‘green’, our research proves that single-use paper cups are considerably worse for the environment than Corretto®. Reuse is superior to recycling, and our single material cups do not require specialist recycling plants.

Q: Why hasn’t anyone thought of using this type of cup before?
A: Traditional foaming techniques would make this type of cup too expensive. Our innovation simply removes the cost barrier, allowing us to offer a commercially viable alternative to single-use paper cups.

Q: Are your cups compostable?
A: At present no. For the moment we only plan to use polypropylene to encourage multi-use and recycling at the end of life.

Q: Are your cups food safe and BPA free?
A: Yes to both. Polypropylene (PP#5) containers do not leach harmful chemicals into foods or liquids and is increasingly the preferred material for food packaging.
